I originally became interested in design because I fell in love with the feeling of meticulously moving pixels around and choosing colors. Along the way working as a designer at USC, I realized I also loved thinking about how systems connect, how to balance technical limitations with design decisions, and how to create products that support not just end users, but the organizations behind them too. So basically, trying to make everyone happy. Great career path for a recovering people-pleaser? Maybe… I’m working on it…

What energizes me most are problems that require systems thinking, thoughtful decision-making, and balancing real-world constraints with human needs.

I’m also CPACC-certified and care deeply about accessibility and inclusivity as a system-level responsibility.

I believe good design is thoughtful, considerate, trustworthy, and supportive, and helps people feel more confident, especially when things are complex or unfamiliar.

I'm from Shizuoka, Japan (right next to Mount Fuji), grew up in Southern California, and now in Queens, NYC, living with my best friends. 💛
